The first round of grants April 20, 2020:

Agency on Aging of South Central Connecticut, Inc. - $2,000 to provide food for homebound older adults and those over the age of 18 with disabilities.

Area Congregations Together, Inc. - $5,000 to support the purchase of personal protective equipment and cleaning supplies, and to support additional staff hours.

Area Congregations Together, Inc. - $5,000 to provide general operating support.

BHcare - $3,000 to support the purchase of personal protective equipment and cleaning supplies for its facilities.

Christ Episcopal Church - $5,000 to provide general operating support for the Kathleen Samela Food Pantry.

Community Residences, Inc. - $2,000 to support the purchase of personal protective equipment for its three locations in Derby and Shelton serving developmentally disabled adults.

Cornell Scott Hill Health Corporation - $2,500 to support the purchase of personal protective equipment.

Echo Hose Hook and Ladder Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Inc. - $5,000 to support the purchase of personal protective equipment and/or cleaning equipment.

Griffin Hospital - $5,000 to support the purchase of personal protective equipment and related supplies needed by hospital staff.

Naugatuck Valley Health District - $3,200 to support the purchase of four laptops to enable staff to work remotely.

Salvation Army, Greater Valley Corps - $5,000 to provide general operating support.

Seymour Oxford Food Bank - $5,000 to provide general operating support.

St. Vincent de Paul of the Valley - $5,000 to provide general operating support.

Storm Engine Company Ambulance Corps, Inc. - $5,000 to support the purchase of personal protective equipment and/or cleaning equipment.

TEAM, Inc. - $5,000 to support providing food, diapers, and medications for those impacted by COVID-19, as well as housing and utilities assistance, childcare support for essential workers, and interventions due to loss of wages.

United Methodist Homes - $5,000 to support the purchase of personal protective equipment and/or cleaning equipment, and for any surge rate increases for staffing for Wesley Village.

Valley Council for Health and Human Services - $3,600 to support the costs to deep clean the following four food pantries: Salvation Army, Greater Valley Corps, St. Vincent de Paul of the Valley, Kathleen Samela Food Pantry, and Seymour Oxford Food Bank.

Visiting Nurse Association of South Central Connecticut - $5,000 to support the purchase of personal protective equipment and related supplies needed by field staff serving residents from Ansonia, Derby, Seymour, and Shelton.

Central Connecticut Coast YMCA - $2,500 to support the purchase of personal protective equipment and cleaning supplies for the Valley YMCA's residential facility in Ansonia.

The second round of grants May 1, 2020:

American Federation of State County & Municipal Employees - $5,000 to support the purchase of personal protective equipment and cleaning supplies for members of the Derby Police Union, officers in the Derby Police Department.

American Red Cross, Connecticut Chapter - $5,000 to support the purchase of personal protective equipment and technological equipment for staff and volunteers to use in response to Valley emergencies.

Ansonia Rescue Medical Services - $5,000 to support the purchase of personal protective equipment, infection control tools and equipment, disinfectant, and cleaners to keep staff and patients safe.

BHcare - $5,000 to support the purchase of telehealth equipment to address client health.

Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley - $5,000 to support remote technology needs for staff, personal protective equipment for childcare/camp startup, and dinner for the 30 children and families that they had been servicing prior to the pandemic.

Central Connecticut Coast YMCA - $5,000 to support the purchase of personal protection equipment and disinfecting supplies for the residents living in the Valley YMCA's facility in Ansonia, and to support telewellness programs for Valley YMCA members and Ansonia students.

Christian Counseling & Family Life Center - $5,000 to support a minimum of 77 telehealth/teletherapy sessions to alleviate patients choosing between accessing mental health care and buying food.

Cornell Scott Hill Health Corporation - $2,500 to support the purchase of plastic barriers at medical and behavioral health registration centers in Ansonia.

Family and Children's Aid - $5,000 to support the purchase of equipment, supplies, and to provide technical support in order to enable the telehealth sessions for at-risk Valley children and teens.

Girl Scouts of Connecticut Inc. - $1,000 to support the development of transitioning to online resources for academic learning, recreation, and mental health for girls and their families in the Valley.

Lower Naugatuck Valley Parent Child Resource Center - $2,400 to support the purchase of additional telehealth and wellness equipment and applications necessary to continue serving its clients.

Seymour Ambulance Association - $5,000 to support the costs associated with serving Seymour residents during the pandemic, including but not limited to, personal protective equipment, fuel, vehicle repairs and volunteer support.

The third round of grants May 26, 2020:

Adam Wysota Foundation - $1,750 to support a deep cleaning of Adam's House as well as the purchase of additional cleaning supplies and personal protection equipment.

Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Hartford - $2,000 to support the purchase of personal protective equipment and cleaning products for the Ansonia Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic in preparation for the reopening.

Center Stage Theatre, Inc. - $2,000 to support a deep cleaning of the facility as well as the purchase of cleaning supplies and personal protective equipment in preparation for the reopening.

Connecticut Radio Information System, Inc. - $2,000 to support additional staff costs to record pandemic information for blind or print challenged Valley residents.

Julia Day Nursery of Ansonia, Inc. - $2,000 to support a deep cleaning of its facility and playground area, as well as the purchase of additional cleaning supplies and personal protective equipment in preparation of its reopening.

Literacy Volunteers of Greater New Haven - $2,000 to support the purchase of Lexia Power-Up software and additional personal protective equipment for staff in preparation for the reopening of the Valley office.

Massaro Community Farm, Inc. - $1,800 to support telewellness and teleeducation programming as well as summer camp scholarships for Valley students.

Valley Fire Chief's Emergency Plan - $1,600 to support the purchase of computers and software to enable the Valley Fire School to offer online training and certification classes for firefighters and emergency personnel.

The fourth round of grants December 14, 2020:

Abundant Life Ministries - $5,000 to distribute 200+ health and wellness kits to Valley seniors.

BHcare - $5,000 to support the purchase of PPE and cleaning supplies.

Center Stage Theatre - $2,000 to support the purchase of PPE and cleaning supplies.

Derby Historical Society - $5,000 to support the education of Valley students and families through online programming and website upgrades.

Echo Hose Hook and Ladder Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Inc.- $5,000 to provide support for increased emergency staffing due to rising cases of the pandemic.

Griffin Hospital - $5,000 to provide support for PPE equipment and supplies for hospital staff.

Julia Day Nursery - $4,400 to support an internet upgrade for staff to work with Valley children and families in a hybrid education model.

Life Health and Wellness Center - $5,000 to provide science, technology, engineering, and mathematical educational assistance for elementary students in Ansonia impacted by COVID-19.

Seymour Ambulance Association - $5,000 to provide support for PPE and operations.

Seymour Land Trust - $4,200 to provide support for continued operation of an emergency blood drive site for the Valley.

TEAM, Inc. - $5,000 to provide support for the 2020 Toys4Kids Holiday Toy Drive.

Valley Shakespeare Festival - $2,500 to provide support for live and remote theatrical performances.
