How to Create and Nurture a Diverse Board (RECORDED)

Today most boards know that there is a real necessity to recruit a diverse board. However, making that a reality is a challenge. And even if the recruitment effort is moderately successful, building a culture of inclusion, where every voice is equally heard and respected is even more challenging. The status quo is no longer an option and boards need to gain a greater understanding of how to shift the culture to one which is open, inclusive, inquisitive and equitable. With this workshop we will examine the nuanced elements that makes a board culture diverse, equitable and inclusive and the work that must be done to continually make it so. The presentation will include a panel of local boards that have successfully created inclusive and equitable boards.
